Hiking the High Mountain Region

This Special seven day expedition explores areas rarely seen by non-Bedouins. Most Of the sites are totally inaccessible by4WD or camel- this is hiking in its purest form. The trip starts in the area of St. Catherine Monastery. The tour covers Egypt’s greatest mountain range (2500m), where we investigate prehistoric tiger traps, gardens, wild fruit trees, and water pools. Escorted By our local Bedouin guide, we learn about the lifestyle and customs of the local inhabitants.

Route: Cairo – St. Catherine – High Mountain Region – Mount Moses– Palace of Abbas Pasha – Ain Nagila – Galt el Azraq - St. Catherine- Cairo
